ATC SCM200ASL Pro Dual 12" Powered 3-way Studio Monitor - Pair

Large-format 3-way Powered Studio Monitor with Dual 12-inch LF Drivers, 3-inch MF Driver, 1.25-inch HF Driver, and Rackmountable 850W Amplifier (Each)

A Monitor That Will Enable You to Hear Every Detail

While acknowledging the inherent value of compact, nearfield "real-world" studio monitors, there's no substitute for unflinchingly accurate main monitors that tell you everything you need to know about what you're recording and that reproduce high-resolution, full-bandwidth audio with absolute clarity and uncompromising dynamic range. Designed for medium-to-large control rooms and film re-recording stages, the ATC SCM200ASL represents a significant monitoring upgrade for your studio. ATC monitors are handmade in the UK using cutting-edge components and processes, and you'll immediately hear why they're considered among the finest reference monitors in the world and why you'll find them in the studios of many world-renowned engineers. For a main monitoring experience that sets a new standard for sonic accuracy and mixing precision, choose the SCM200ASL professional active studio monitor.

Engineering the best speaker possible

Great-sounding monitors start with great-sounding drivers. The SCM200ASL's drivers are manufactured to exacting standards at ATC's in-house facility. The SCM300ASL was thoroughly engineered to deliver high-performance reproduction of any audio you feed it, allowing you to hear every detail in your recordings. Each SCM200ASL incorporates proprietary ATC drivers — a 1.25-inch soft-dome tweeter, a 3-inch Super Dome midrange, and dual full-spec SL 12-inch bass drivers.

Proprietary rackmountable amplifier

Powered by ATC's 850-watt Class AB P4 amplifier, the SCM200ASL was built to perform at the top of its class. The P4 boasts a state-of-the-art design with 3-way active filters and four power amplifiers, and it includes fast-acting FET soft limiting driver protection and fourth-order active crossovers with phase correction. You also get rear-vented, triple-fan cooling. This rackmountable amplifier can be located remotely from the actual studio monitor. A single custom 8-way speaker cable is all you need to connect the SCM200ASL to its P4 unit (a 15-foot cable is included).

A legacy of monitoring accuracy

A young engineer named Billy Woodman spent his younger days working side by side with some of the best speaker engineers of the day. In 1974, Billy went on to found ATC, Acoustic Transducer Company, and he began building amazing-sounding speakers. Today, ATC hand builds speakers one at a time to ensure the utmost quality and best sound. Billy continues to invent new drivers, new speakers, and new ideas, giving you the best monitors in the industry. How good are ATC monitors? Just ask producers and engineers like George Massenburg, Chuck Ainley, and Doug Sax. You'll also find them in Abbey Road Studios, Sony Studios New York, Blackbird Studios Nashville, and many more. Step up to ATC SCM300ASL monitors and hear every detail.
